What inspired you to create Fate Into Destiny, and how does it guide people toward their true purpose?
Fate Into Destiny was inspired by my life… the truth that was uncovered during transformative sessions I experienced with the late Debbie Ford and The Ford Institute for Transformational Training.
As a child, and as a young adult, I fantasized about the person I would be when I “grew up” and what my purpose was in life. I remember feeling drawn to helping others… doing whatever I could to lift them up and to make them smile. However, what I didn’t know, like many of the women in my family, I was a chronic people pleaser and caretaker. I had unconsciously come to believe that my life choices were limited; that my FATE was predetermined by a set of circumstances that I seemingly inherited, and that the direction of my life was out of my control. In other words, I had accepted that my life was DESTINED to be like many of the people in my life who had become complacent with their life as it was.
Consequently, I moved through life on auto-pilot, until I was faced with a set of circumstances that shook me to my core… awakening a part of me I never new existed. I was unceremoniously downsized from a position in Corporate America that I thought I was going to retire from and bankruptcy was knocking at my door. I didn’t want to see anyone and I certainly didn’t want to be seen… I thought my life was over.
Suddenly, I heard a voice from inside that said “Louise Hay.” Louise Hay was the founder of Hay House Publishing whose teachings I had followed for many years. Through Hay House radio, I was introduced to Debbie Ford which changed my life forever. I began being coached by one of her extraordinary coaches and becoming certified as an Integrative Coach Professional with the Ford Institute for Transformational Training. The transformative experiences, and impeccable training I received, supported me as I uncovered my truth… to acknowledge that I had a choice. Instead of unconsciously being led, I could consciously make choices that aligned with who I really was.
As a partner in transformation, I integrate my lived experiences, Personal Development, and Energy Healing training into a personalized wellness plan that will guide individuals through a transformative process to identify the thoughts, habits, and behaviors that have hindered their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual growth; to examine how it has affected their life and the lives of those they love, to actively take steps to get to know and love themselves, and to create and maintain the life they desire.
Today, as I embrace my authentic self, I am open and willing to consistently release any disempowering thoughts, habits, and behaviors, allowing me to better serve others in aligning with their authentic self. My intention is for the people I serve to become Empowered to Transform and Heal their lives and to realize their dreams. This is my passion and my purpose!
How do mindfulness and self-awareness contribute to living an intentional life?
I strongly believe living intentionally is a selfless act of loving and honoring ourselves and being mindful and self-aware is essential to creating experiences that align with living our best life.
Living intentionally is about waking up each day with a sense of clarity about why we are here and how we want to show up in the world. It’s not about living our lives perfectly… it’s about the intentional acts and our personal commitment to live in alignment with our higher selves.
The process of actively engaging in mindfulness and self-awareness experiences provides us with essential tools to check in with ourselves, to pivot when needed, and to walk forward with purpose and confidence.
While mindfulness grounds us in the present moment, self-awareness illuminates who we are within it. Mindfulness allows us to get to know ourselves intimately – our values, triggers, desires, and our inner strengths. While, self-awareness guides us to uncovering the hidden patterns that drive our actions, as we begin to see which choices actually align with our true self and those which come from fear, habit, or the pressures of society. With this insight, we can consciously decide how we want to move forward, as we embrace the process of being a co-creator in our life.
As I consciously choose to live my life with intention, I am also committed to offering services that are integrated with mindfulness and self-awareness experiences to those I serve. Every moment provides a new opportunity to live intentionally!
Can you share an example of how your coaching services have helped someone transform their life?
I had the privilege of working with a professional male client who was deeply rooted in the personal fitness community. To his peers and clients, he was the embodiment of success—confident, charismatic, and deeply invested in helping others achieve their goals.
Yet, beneath this polished exterior lay a hidden struggle. Inside, he felt like a “little boy,” yearning for approval and battling persistent self-doubt. Despite his accomplishments, he carried a heavy burden of imposter syndrome. He feared being “found out” as a fraud, even though his work and dedication consistently proved otherwise.
Our coaching journey began with creating a safe space where he could explore these feelings without judgment. Through Shadow’s work, we uncovered that his internal conflict stemmed from unresolved childhood experiences. As a boy, he had often sought validation through achievement but was met with conditional praise or criticism. This left him feeling that his worth was tied solely to his ability to succeed and left little room for self-acceptance.
In our sessions, we worked on dismantling these outdated beliefs. By exploring his subconscious thoughts, he began to understand that the narrative of “I’m not good enough” wasn’t his truth—it was a story he had absorbed long ago.
Together, we moved through a transformational process that allowed him to create and embrace a new narrative rooted in self-compassion and self-worth.
One of the most significant breakthrough moments occurred when he realized that the “little boy” inside him wasn’t something to silence or avoid but a part of himself that needed healing and reassurance. This shift allowed him to acknowledge his inner child’s pain while stepping into his adult self’s power. A true “aha” experience!
This transformation extended beyond his personal life into his professional realm. As he became more grounded in his sense of self-worth, he found a renewed passion for his work. He developed innovative programs that bridged the gap between mental and physical health, offering his clients a more holistic approach to fitness. This not only elevated his business but also deepened the trust and connection he had with those he served.
Beyond his business, his personal growth inspired him to give back in meaningful ways. He began mentoring young men in his community, sharing his journey and the tools he had gained through coaching. By modeling vulnerability and strength, he became a source of hope and guidance for those struggling with their own self-doubt.
As we continue to maintain a professional relationship, my heart warms when he respectfully calls me “Coach”!
What role does personal growth play in achieving long-term success and fulfillment?
I love this question! As I respond, I will graciously receive my response as a gentle reminder to myself.
Personal growth is an ongoing self-discovery process that reveals the truest, most empowered version of ourselves. Success is not about a series of acts we complete to check off boxes or chasing the next shiny achievement we think will fill us up! True success is about becoming whole. It’s about walking through life with intention as we evolve into the people we are meant to be. This kind of success is built on the small, yet consistent steps we take that nurture our personal growth… the steps that no one else can take for us.
Here are just a few lessons I’ve learned on my path to achieving long-term success and fulfillment:
• First, taking care of myself isn’t selfish—it’s my power source. When we nurture our mind, body, and soul, we are affirming to ourselves that we are worthy of the love and care we give to others. When we make time to rest, recharge, and pour love into ourselves, we are building the energy we need to keep going, to reach higher, and to truly enjoy the success we are creating.
• We’re not meant to do this alone – true personal growth happens when we allow ourselves to be supported by people who care about our journey. Whether it’s asking for guidance, accepting support from a friend, or working with someone who sees the greatness in us, even on the days we don’t. Knowing when to ask for and receive help does not make us weak; it taps into the wisdom we have within and allows others the opportunity to share.
• Forgiveness of self and others – when we forgive ourselves for the perceived mistakes we have made, we are releasing the chains that have kept us tied to regret, shame, and guilt. When we forgive others, we are breaking free from the weight of resentment. Forgiveness doesn’t mean we excuse or deny any harm we have experienced or caused to others—forgiveness allows us to reclaim our power… heal, and move forward.
We all know that life seldom goes as we’ve planned, and that’s ok. Part of growing is recognizing when it’s time to shift direction… to be open and willing to surrender a path that is no longer serving us. That’s when we are called to listen to our inner guide… the still small voice that whispers when something feels right or wrong. In the times when I’ve felt most alone and afraid – it’s the confidence I’ve gained from trusting the guidance of inner wisdom that allows me to truly believe in myself… knowing that the answers live within me.
As I continue on my personal growth path, I am committed to supporting my clients in developing a growth mindset, embracing continuous self-improvement, and cultivating inner resources that support their journey toward lasting fulfillment. As they grow personally, they become better equipped to create and maintain the life they truly desire.
How do you integrate spiritual development into the coaching programs you offer?
Integrating spiritual development within my coaching programs begins with me being willing to share myself authentically. I understand the importance of nurturing myself, and filling my cup, so I may graciously pour into and serve others. With that, I am grateful to share my lived experiences and training as a reflection of who I am… not what I do.
Our personalized coaching programs, which include; Shadow Work, Empowerment Coaching, and Relationship Coaching, are each created to support others in getting to know themselves intimately. As they learn to trust their inner guidance, they become ready to use their imagination to create a vision for a life that is filled with unlimited possibilities. Empowered by their vision, they are inspired to set realistic goals, to set boundaries without feeling guilty, and to accept life’s challenges as opportunities to learn and to grow. No longer comparing themselves to others or living by the expectations of others. They are ready to see, feel, and know their truth.
One of the effective transformative tools I regularly incorporate is mindfulness. Through meditation and reflective practices, I guide clients as they slow down, tune in, and develop a deeper relationship with their inner world. For those open to it, I may weave in energy healing modalities, such as Chakra Balancing or Reiki, to clear any energetic misalignments and to enhance their natural energy flow.
Ultimately, my intention is to serve as a partner in transformation, facilitating a process, that allows clients to discover their own way. When this happens… and it does, they often find the answers they seek… gaining the confidence and clarity to create lives that are joy-filled and deeply aligned with their passion.
What advice would you give to someone struggling to align their actions with their true destiny?
A key part of aligning with your true destiny is redefining what destiny even means. We often think of destiny as a fixed outcome or a singular purpose we need to achieve. I see destiny as an ever-evolving journey—one that’s shaped by our choices, experiences, and willingness to grow.
If you’re struggling to align your actions with your true destiny; begin by giving yourself permission to be where you are, and to release the need for immediate clarity. The discomfort you feel is not a sign you are failing… it’s a signal that you are growing. This tension is not your enemy, it may just be your soul whispering, “You are meant for more.” Many of us become so focused on finding our “purpose” that we overlook the importance of the journey itself.
Gentle reminders…
• Nurture yourself physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually: Start with small, meaningful actions each day that feel true to your heart, even if they’re as simple as journaling, meditating, or dedicating time to a passion.
• Visualize the life you desire, set realistic goals that align with your vision, take action, and acknowledge yourself when appropriate. When and if you fall short of your goals, examine what may have gotten in the way.
• Practice self-forgiveness. Take a look at your life and the choices you’ve made, not to assign fault or judgment, but to gain information.
• Be gentle with yourself as you move through the process of identifying what you desire. As you do, be open and willing to connect with your inner wisdom to assist you in identifying your true destiny.
I believe in the power of support. It’s not necessary to walk this journey alone. Whether it’s a coach, mentor, or trusted friend, connect with someone who can hold space for you, reflect your brilliance back to you, and remind you of your potential when you feel stuck. Sometimes, simply having someone who believes in you can reignite your belief in yourself.
Lastly, give yourself grace. Aligning with destiny isn’t about perfection; it’s about honoring your path, learning, and taking courageous steps toward what feels true to you. Celebrate every small win, every moment of courage, and every time you choose to listen to your heart instead of your fear. Your destiny isn’t something you find—it’s something you become.
